Pattern is basic & can be used with any yarn and needles to get gauge. Fingering or sport weight is recommended. A gauge swatch is your first step.

Unlike the other round baby blankets on Ravelry, this one is done with short rows that produce a series of triangles, so there are no rows of holes along the segment borders.

Different yarns with different gauges may require different numbers of triangles in order to lay flat. A crocheted edging is a nice addition, too.
