The Short Visit Hat is a bottom up hat worked in the round with a folded brim. However, feel free to knit a brim you like the most.

The pattern is done with slip stitches (mosaic method of knitting). There are two pattern repeats, one crossed and the other an open stitch. You can follow the pattern as is or make it your own by switching colours and the two pattern repeats stitches.

SIZE
• toddler - head size 17 inch (44 cm) hat knitted with 3 inch (7.5cm) negative ease
• small child - head size 19 inch (48 cm) hat knitted with 3 inch (7.5cm) negative ease • adult - head size 22 inch (56 cm) hat knitted with 3 inch (7.5cm) negative ease
• large adult - head size 25 inch (63 cm) hat knitted with 3 inch (7.5cm) negative ease

GAUGE
27 sts x 36 rows = 4 inch / 10 cm stockinette stitch in the round with US 4 - 3.5 mm circular needles or size needed to obtain the gauge

Holst Garn Supersoft - FINGERING WEIGTH - 100% wool, 50 g 287 m /314 yds (100 g 574 m / 628 yds)
MC - Coffee, CC1 (Orange) - Ember, CC2 (Grey) - Silver Grey


NEEDLE SIZES
US 4 - 3.5 mm 16 inch (40 cm) circular
US 4 - 3.5 mm DPNs or 32 inch (80 cm) circular for magic loop
