Shoulder-free Zebra sweater
You will have to do a lot of counting to achieve the zebra stripe look, you have been warned. An instruction on how to read mosaic charts is also included.
Pattern contents:
Basics
- Hook used: 5mm Yarn:
- Black: 30-50m (Color C)
- White: 650-800m (Color B)
- Lavender: 650-800m (Color A)
-
Gauge: 10cm width * 10cm height = 17dc * 10dc A size chart with approximate measurements is inside the pdf
-
For reference: I’m wearing a size S, on the body chart in my pattern that’s until row 56 and my sleeves are until row 76 on the sleeve chart. The total length my charts have is 85 body rows and 102 sleeve rows - so it’s possible to extend this sweater much longer than the version I am wearing.
-
If you’re not familiar with mosaic crochet, please note, that this sweater is extremely thick due to most stitches being stacked onto each other. It’s great for the winter, but will eat up more yarn than normal. It is also very stretchy, so you can savely consider a size smaller depending on which fit you prefer. Stitch counts are indicated like this: S (M, L, XL)
-
Charts: The shoulder chart and the body charts repeat once before you start a new row with the second color, whereas the sleeves are only 1 row for each sleeve. The charts art attached in a separate file, I suggest to print them out and keep track of the rows you have finished. If you lose track, even more intense counting madness ensures :)
Terms and stitches needed
This pattern uses American terms and is best suited for intermediate crocheters.
sl st = slip stitch
sc bl = single crochet into back loop
sc bl incr = single crochet back loop with increase (2 single crochets into the same stitch)
