This shawl is the second in a collection of shoulder shawls or wraps. My intention in designing this collection is to provide free patterns for knitters to make wraps that provide warmth and a sense of caring to each recipient.

This shoulder shawl is worked in one piece in garter stitch except for the pocket linings. It is shaped using short rows both in the body of the shawl as well as the shawl type collar. Wrap and turns and included in the directions for short rows, but since the shawl is knitted in garter stitch, the wraps disappear into the knitting, so that you do not need to worry about knitting each wrap with its stitch.

Since bulky yarn is used, the knitting proceeds quickly. I used Marble Chunky, but any bulky weight yarn could be used. It would also be possible to use two strands of worsted weight yarn.
