About Shufflebottom (HUOM! Suomennos perässä)

I hope you enjoy your new pattern! Original Shufflebottom hat is the slouchier one, Shufflebottom Slouch. It was designed by my dear friend Emma. Emma wasn’t the kind of person who would talk about her feelings that much. Instead she showed them through her hands, be it writing or knitting. Original Shufflebottom Slouch she made for a person in her life who she loved dearly and this was one of her many ways of showing her love.

Unfortunately, December 2017 Emma decided to end her life.

I am releasing the pattern with the permission of Emmas family. Based on Emmas notes I have added the beanie size, lining, tab and pompom options to make the pattern more valuable for you. I hope it serves you well as a pattern of it’s own or as a guideline to making your own design. Make one for that person you love, to show much you care!

All the profits from the sales of this pattern will be donated to a charity, helping the victims of child abuse or rape. The amounts donated and the charity chosen will be listed in the pattern page of Ravelry.com when the donation is made. Thank you for your contribution!

Muutama sana ohjeesta

Toivottavasti uusi ohjeesi tuottaa sinulle iloa! Alkuperäinen Shufflebottom pipo oli löysempi malli, Shufflebottom Slouch jonka voit myös tällä ohjeella toteuttaa. Sen suunnitteli ja toteutti rakas ystäväni Emma. Emma oli monella tapaa hyvin tyypillinen suomalainen; hän ei helposti puhunut tunteistaan, mutta näytti ne mieluummin käsiensä kautta, joko kirjoittamalla tai neulomalla. Ensimmäisen Shufflebottom Slouchin hän neuloi henkilölle, jota rakasti syvästi ja tämä oli Emman tapa näyttää tunteensa kyseiselle henkilölle.

Valitettavasti joulukuussa 2017 Emma päätyi tekemään itsemurhan.

Julkaisen ohjeen Emman perheen suostumuksella. Olen lisännyt alkuperäiseen ohjeeseen Emman muistiinpanojen pohjalta myös istuvamman pipon ohjeen, vuoren, reunamerkin napilla ja tupsun, jotta ohjeesta olisi mahdollisimman paljon hyötyä Sinulle.
