SHUTTER headband

The idea for this headband was born one summer upon my return from yet another teaching engagement. My inspiration gears were churning, which produced some swatches, but then I needed to use a protractor. My progress knitting started to resemble a camera’s lens shutter, hence the namesake. Looking geometric at first, it turned into a soft and simple design, as these petal-shaped cables are an embodiment of finesse and minimalism. And you will surely become mesmerized by the result of biased fabric manipulation just as I did, discovering that sometimes things in life and knitting can be this straightforward.
