sidestep socks
The Sidestep Socks feature a neat colourwork panel framed by a nifty ‘braid’ (super simple to create!) on a background of 2x2 rib. A sideways chevron colourwork design is used in the sample, but pattern includes multiple colourwork options for checkerboard, houndstooth, dots, and vertical chevron designs, too.
The heel is shaped with my ‘Lily version’ of a short row heel, with
extra shaping around the instep to ensure the sock isn’t strained around the arch of the foot, as is often the case with short row heels. My Sun-up Socks & After Hours socks also feature this construction, which fits really well!
