Needles: #4/3.5mm, 32”/80cm circular needle (or size to get gauge).

Techniques: knits and purls in a textured stitch pattern.

Sidetracked is a fun, textured, reversible, asymmetric scarf pattern. The pattern begins with a Double Garter Rib, then as your stitches increase, Garter Stitch Ridges are added. I’ve kept the pattern stitches simple to make the most of this highly textured yarn. This pattern is great for advanced beginners and above.

As most of us do nowadays, I saw Dancing Skies Fiber Arts Confetti Slub yarn on Instagram. A spell came over me and I was transfixed by this yarn. I named the pattern Sidetracked because the stitches diverge – the Double Garter Rib runs vertically, and the Garter Stitch Ridges run horizontally.
