Sidewalk Cafe Wrap
I made my first Sidewalk Cafe Wrap as my in-flight project on a trip across the Atlantic last year. It was such a quick and relaxing knit that it soon became my “go to” project for watching tv and taking along when I have to wait for an appointment and I need something to keep me occupied.
I have knit this wrap in lots of different yarns, but my favorite is still this Cappuccino colorway of Red Heart Unforgettable yarn. Very soft and cozy.
This rectangular wrap is composed of connected triangles. It works best in the long, graduated colors of self striping yarn.
The size can be adjusted by using different weight yarns with appropriate needle size. Swatch for gauge. Yarn amounts will vary with changes to yarn weight and needle size. The one in the featured photo used exactly 3 skeins of Red Heart Unforgettable (270 yards per skein).
The last 4 photos show a Dk weight yarn. It was a mill ends purchase and I’m guessing it is an acrylic/cotton mix. It produced a lovely drape. US10/6mm needles.Size is 88 inches long x 16 inches wide.
