Specially designed with the fuller figure in mind, this design is ideal for self-striping yarns – the stripes run vertically which is always flattering. Short-row shaping nips the waist in at the sides, and a flared back hem emphasises the curvy shape of the garment. The three-quarter length sleeves are finished with a double cuff to match the edging around the body of the cardigan.

Although this pattern is not for the faint-hearted it’s a rewarding knit and you will end up with a beautiful, wearable garment that you’ll wear time and time again.

NB. The placing of the waist shaping means this design is probably best suited to a person of around 5’ - 5’5” in height. The shaping will sit above the waistline of a taller person.

To fit bust sizes 42”, 44” and 46”.
Nape of neck to hem – 26”
Sleeve seam – 12”

You will need 12 x 50gr DK yarn for 46” size, 11 x 50gr for 44” and 10 x 50gr for 42”. The purple/pink colourway was knitted in Sirdar Escape DK, and the green was knitted in King Cole Mirage.

Many thanks to LittleRedDragon for doing a wonderful job of test-knitting.
