Sideways Leaf Cardigan
Sideways Leaf Cardigan is a fun cardigan worked sideways. The leaf pattern is created by a combination of knit and purl stitches. I wanted to create a cardigan that could be eas-ily altered. If you want it a bit bigger just knit a little more until the next section of the pat-tern. If you need it a bit smaller then change sections faster than listed in the pattern.
The leaf pattern is fairly easy and the only part that may be a challenge is working short rows. Once you give it a try they are almost addictive because they create such an interesting and effective look. Knit in dreamy Malabrigo colored in a beautiful teal, the sweater is sure to be a constant go to cardigan for the Fall and Winter season.
The cardigan is worked sideways. The number of stitches cast on will be the length of the caridigan.

W&t—Wrap and turn –with yarn in back, slip the next stitch purlwise from the left needle to the right needle, then bring yarn forward as if to purl, slip stitch from right needle back to left needle. Bring yarn back as if to knit and turn the en-tire piece ready to knit back on the opposite side.
