YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE  This design makes use of Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball  yarn. Substitution is not recommended as this yarn is  unique in its characteristics to the extent that other  #4 yarns may behave very differently and alter the  fit and drape. This is a case where sideways knitting  dramatically alters drape and gauge. As knitted, at  stitch size 3 on the bulky the gauge is 5 stitches/6  rows per inch but in wear it changes to 4.3  stitches/7.76 rows per inch. The sizes finish from 34-  64” at the bust.  A ribber is recommended. If you don’t have one and wish to make the design anyway, prepare for lots and lots of re-latching.
