Gauge: After Row 13 the triangle is approx. 14cm/5.5” high.
Sienna Shawl is a lovely trianglular shawl that begins from a bottom tip with increases placed along the edges.
The flower lace pattern is geometric and quite easy to memorize and it will catch the eye when you wear it. While the stitches used in this pattern are simple, the project itself is not the quickest one. But, once you have the first few rows figured out, you’ll be off to the races.
The pattern includes stitch charts and a picture tutorial.
Materials & Tools:
1. Yarn Drops Fabel (75% wool, 25% polyamide – 50g/205m) in 1 color:
4 skeins of mustard (111) color,
- Hook size 3.5mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge,
- Tapestry needle (to weave and hide yarn ends and to seam),
- Scissors.
Level: Intermediate/Advance.
Size after blocking:
Wingspan – 202cm/79.53”, Center depth - 68cm/26.77”.
Gauge after blocking:
After Row 13 the triangle is approx. 14cm/5.5” high.
Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirements and the finished size.
Notes:
• The pattern uses US crochet terminology.
• You can also use yarn in different weights, but just know that the width will be different depending on your gauge.
