Sierrafema Shawl
Here’s a textured thin & soft triangular shawl “Sierrafema” knitted flat from the bottom corner up to the sides, edged with the peaky borders. Working stitch by stitch this simple but amazing lace pattern is a quite meditative process.
Skill level: intermediate, although the pattern is beginner friendly (for those who loves charts).
Yarn: 100 g of any lace or sport weight kid mohair in approx. yardage 350-400 m (383-437 yds) per 50 g skein. Either you may choose the brands indicated above or try some experimental fibers.
Circular knitting needles 48’’ (120 cm) length cable: US 6 (4 mm) for body, US 7 (4.5 mm) for borders.
The pattern is in English (US terms). Special stitches and techniques are explained, check them out carefully. Written instructions are clear enough to begin, but pay attention mostly to the detailed pattern charts.
