I designed this sock with a bit of lace, some geometric designs and beads to make it feminine and a little glamorous. For comfort, the beads are only on the leg of the sock. The beads start with a few at the bottom and ending with beads in every square at the top of the leg. This pattern includes instructions for knitting your sock both with and without the beads and you have also the option to knit the toe with or without lace.

The sock is knitted using 60 stitches to fit a small/medium foot with a fine or normal ankle. Due to the lace, it will have some give, but the sock is designed to have negative ease to hold snug on the feet to be worn with shoes. The heel is knitted with German short rows, without gusset.
If you need a large gusset, this pattern won’t be for you.

Both socks are identical. The pattern is a mix of written instructions and charts. The instructions are written for a circular needle. If you use DPNs, you will use 2 needles for the sole stitches and 2 needles for the instep stitches.

I used about 320 seed beads 6/0 for my prototype.
