The little critters might look like squirrels, but they are actually siksiks! Siksik, also known as arctic ground squirrels are native to the arctic where I call home. They hibernate over winter and we only see them in summer, if we are lucky!

Siksik socks are knitted top-down and in the round, featuring a stranded colourwork motif throughout. The heels are knitted using the afterthought heel technique. You can choose to “mismatch” your socks as shown in the photos or knit two identical socks.
