This would make a stunning one skein gift for the reader in your life or just a staple for indoor warmth and relaxation (though, nothing is keeping it from being your favorite winter scarf with pockets, either).

This pattern is suitable for a confident beginner crocheter.

NOTE: I no longer find that velvet yarn is the best choice for this pattern, due to its tendency to “loop” and pull over time. Subbing any 6 weight yarn for this pattern creates a gorgeous, chunky and warm wrap that stands the test of time better than the velvet yarn.
