Silent Symphony is a loose fitting sweater with a boxy fit and fitted sleeves. The drop shoulder effect creates a lovely contrast to the wide body, providing a fit that complements all body types.

METHOD

The sweater is worked from the top down starting with the neckline and shoulder increases knit in the round. Then the front and back yokes are knit in stockinette stitch back and forth before joining them together in the round again and knit until desired length. The sleeves are made by picking up stitches around the armhole and knitting straight until they are the appropriate length for the intended wearer. By constructing the sweater in this way it is possible to try it on for fit and length as it progresses and you only need to weave in a few ends when you finish knitting.
