This pattern is a traditional Icelandic Wool sweater style I’m calling Silfra (Lopapeysa).

The sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round.

L: 100 cm – 38 cm – 48 cm – 38 cm

Yarn: Léttlopi from Istex. If you don’t have access to either then choose a similar yarn that fits the gauge.

Yarn: Istex Léttlopi – 50g skein – 100 m

Color A White 0051 XXS(6) XS(6), S(7), M(8), L(9), XL(10), XXL(10), 3XL(11), 4XL(12) 5XL(12)

Color B Black 0059 XXS (1) XS(1), S(2), M(2), L(2), XL(2), XXL(2), 3XL(2), 4XL(2), 5XL(2)

Color C Glacier Blue 1404 XXS(1) XS(1), S(1), M(2), L(2), XL(2), XXL(2), 3XL(2), 4XL(2), 5XL(2)

Note that color C on the photo was a special hand dyed color from the Handknitting association of Iceland, the 1404 is the closest one available.

Gauge
10x10cm = 18 sts and 26 rows on 5mm needles.

Circular needles: 4mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)

Double-pointed needles: 4mm and 5mm

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use 4,5mm or even 4mm I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.

This pattern has slim fit and a shorter body length, if you prefer a wider fit you should consider sizing up and/or adding a few cm in the body.
