Errata from early print versions: On instructions 2 and 3 under “Yoke,” instructions should read:

Work raglan inc row on RS rows as follows: K to 1st marker, yo… etc. eliminate the words “1 st before”

Additionally:

Work the sts between the markers during the yoke increases as p sts on the right side and k sts on the wrong side to create a reverse St st fabric.

On Body section, step 9:
Next round (WS): K to 2 sts before marker, yo, ssk, slm, k2tog, yo; rep from three times, etc…

This is the tenth pattern in Craft Work Knit, my self-published collection of 10 new patterns.

Also inspired by Josef Albers, this simple cardigan worked in one piece from the top down can be made in any color combination you choose. A combination of garter stitch and reverse Stockinette stitch with yarn-over details makes this piece both easy to knit and full of eye-catching details.

Note: The cardigan is meant to fit with 3-4 inches of positive ease. For a more fitted sweater, make the size down from your actual bust size. The sample shown is the 36-inch bust size, which measures 39.5 inches around the bust, and is worn by a model with a 35-inch bust.
