The inspiration for this tunic-length, cabled raglan pullover was the fickle, cool weather of the Pacific Northwest and the tangled marriage of evergreen wilderness, home-farm agriculture, and big technology that is the Tualatin Valley, aka the Silicon Forest.

The sweater in the pattern photos was made from less than two skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Denim. A higher acrylic content makes blocking trickier but may be more comfortable to wear if the child has sensitive skin.

A note on gender: I designed this for my daughter, and it’s meant to cover a diapered bottom, but not be quite so long as to not need pants (i.e. not really a dress) so I have tagged it as potentially unisex. However, it would probably be considered by most as a fairly feminine design, so I’ll leave it up to personal judgement.
