Silky Kidd Lacey Stole
Two things are possible. Either you are a total lace newbie and afraid of all things delicate-- in which case you should buy this pattern right away and reassure yourself that everything’s usually easier than you think. Or you are an experienced lace hound looking for a relaxing breather after something like this. Because this is one of the easiest, if not the easiest, lace patterns in the universe, and it makes every fine yarn look even more precious and remarkable. The instructions are 33 CHARACTERS long-- with no abbreviations! Easier than this it does not get. Don’t worry about gauge either.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner
SIZE: 10” wide by 42” long excluding fringe and before blocking
FINISHED SIZE: When blocked, this stole measured 15” wide by 53” long, and this loosely knit fabric drapes beautifully to larger dimensions when worn.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 hank Silky Kidd 4 oz/ 322 yards
Needles: US size 10.5 circular 24”, size H crochet hook, one size 11 needle for cast on and bind off only.
Gauge: not important, as the shawl blocks to much larger dimensions. The model stole was knit at 3 st per inch in pattern stitch before blocking
