If you love all things sheep and enjoy wearing quirky lovable heirloom knits, then you will love the Silky Sheep hat. This is an adaptation Jorid Linvik’s Sheep Mittens. The charting has been adapted to fit the hat needs (ie. the tail, sheep head, body and grass has been modified). This cutie is knit in the round from the ribbing to the crown using sport or light weight DK yarn. The flowers are embroidered(optional) at the end to give it even more “cuteness!” This hat is a great addition if you wish to add to your “Sheep Mitten” knit.
The Silky Sheep hat uses minimal yarn making it ideal for using up extra yarn or simply playing with color. It is finished with an optional pompom attached at the end. The color work uses charting with two options (regular and large print) making this an easy pattern to follow.
