This swing cardigan has a feather and fan border at the bottom of the body and three quarter sleeves. Extra sts are cast on to compensate for the curves of the lace pattern and then decreased below and above the lace pattern. The sweater is worked in one piece to the armholes, then the fronts and back are knitted separately.
Short rows are worked across the back to provide extra length. This helps to keep the sweater from riding up in the back.
The sweater has a stand up collar. Clasps are used to close the sweater.
The silky wool makes up to a beautiful sweater, but any yarn knits up to the same gauge would work.
