Just a little bit of fish frippery in an attempt to use up some of those miniscule bits of yarn I insist on keeping - just in case!

For my fish I have used DK weight but sometimes I’ve worked with finer yarns and sometimes thicker, but always with a 3.0mm hook.

The pattern uses US crochet terms and only basic stitches are required including single crochet, increasing and decreasing. It gets a bit fiddly joining the tail fins but hopefully my notes explain this step well enough for you to complete your fishy brooch. The tutorial gives full instructions as well as images.
