The Silver Darlings Scarf
Growing up, one of my favourite snacks was pickled herring (don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!). My grandma introduced it to me when I was just a baby. To this day, it still reminds me of her.
I fell in love with the herringbone single crochet the moment I laid eyes on it. It’s so textured and squishy. And it absolutely shines when you work it with a thick single ply yarn like Lion Brand Scarfie!
When I found out that the common name for Herring is Silver Darlings, I knew I had found a name for this pattern. My Gran would have loved that.
