Silver Touch is a simple yet attractive crescent shape shawl that is adaptable in both the size and number of repeats and proportions between the two stitch patterns used. There is also an optional stockinette section to start with.

The shawl is started in the middle, the volume is built up by increasing at the inner edge and the picot bind-off gives it additional charm.

Any yarn from lace to DK weight will look good on the shawl. Consequently, needles should be adapted to the yarn used and the degree of lacy effect that you desire to achieve. I personally prefer to knit lace with larger size needles to get it really lacy.

The pattern has been tested and tech-edited by several English-speaking knitters.

Pictured shawl was knitted with Sonata Anilux sport / 5 ply on US 4 – 3,5mm needles and with seven repeats of the leaf motif and three repeats of the wave pattern. I used up 470m / 514 yards to obtain shawl that measures approx. 173 x 46cm/68 x 18” blocked.

Silver Touch to chusta łatwa do wykonania. Składa się z dwóch wzorów, każdy z nich można powtórzyć dowolną ilość razy, dowolna jest też proporcja pomiędzy nimi. Opcjonalnie, można też dodać część początkową ściegiem gładkim.

Chusta ma kształt półokrągły, rozpoczyna się ją na środku i stopniowo dodaje kolejne oczka. Rozmiar można dowolnie modyfikować powtarzając wzór, a zakończenie z pikotkami dodaje dodatkowego uroku.

Szal można wydziergać z dowolnej grubości włóczki, ważne, żeby była naturalna, gdyż inaczej nie zblokuje się za dobrze. Druty należy dobrać do grubości włóczki oraz do wielkości ażuru, jaki się chce uzyskać. Ja osobiście lubię chusty bardzo koronkowe i aby osiągnąć taki efekt dziergam je na grubszych drutach.

Opis zawiera zarówno schematy jak i opis słowny.
Chusta była testowana przez polskie testerki.

Chusta na zdjęciu została wydziergana z Sonaty Anilux, poszło na nią 160gr / 470m wełny na drutach 4mm. Jej wymiary wynoszą 173cm x 46cm po zblokowaniu.
