Sometimes, minimalism won’t do… you want a little ‘too much’. This sweater which combines lace, bobbles, fluffy mohair and an extra-cushy doubled neckline is a little EXTRA in all my favourite ways.

Finished Chest Measurement: 21 (21, 27, 27, 28, 32.5, 34.5, 38, 44.5, 50.5, 57, 61.5, 67.5, 74, 79.5)“
Bodhi is wearing size 6-8 yrs (32.5”) with 5” of positive ease. Francine is wearing size M/L (44.5”) with 6” of positive ease.
Yarn
Lace weight mohair plus sock weight yarn
(substitute with a DK or worsted weight yarn)
270 (300, 390, 500, 610, 650, 700, 1040, 1180, 1450, 1480, 1730, 1850, 2020, 2280) yards
Yardage given is for COMBINED yarn; so if your size calls for 600 yards, it requires 600 yards of the sock weight yarn, plus 600 yards of lace weight mohair yarn.

Needles:
US #6 / 4mm and US #8 / 5mm
(or as required to meet gauge)
0 to 2 yrs: 16” circular, and DPNs* in each size.
4 to 10 yrs: 16”, 24” circulars, and DPNs* in each size.
XS to XL: 16”, 32” circulars, and DPNs* in each size.
XXL to 6XL: 16”, 32”, 48” circulars, and DPNs* in larger size, 16”, 48” circulars, and DPNs* in smaller size.
Alternatively you can use the magic loop technique to knit in the round using a single long circular needle.
Gauge
17 sts & 27 rounds / 4” in stockinette using larger needles.
17 sts & 23 rounds / 4” in lace pattern using
