Fluffy like a cloud, light and airy – that’s the combination of Wensleydale wool and mohair. The mixture gives a shine like silver, making any garment look luxurious. I’ve used the yarn held double here, on large needles to make an airy, sheer fabric and show off the lace well. This sweater was done in no time!

Silvered is worked top down with a raglan sleeve construction. Short rows are added to round the scoop neck at the front, and as soon as you start working in the round after shaping the neckline, a simple lace pattern is added. Once the desired armhole depth is reached, body and sleeves are each worked separately in the round.

Yarn used: Whistlebare Yeavering Bell DK (80% Mohair, 20% Wensleydale), 230 meters / 252 yards per 100g, 5-6-7-9 skeins. Colorway: “Minnow”.
Actual meterage/yardage needed:
1110-1270-1550-1870 meters / 1220-1395-1705-2055 yards.
NOTE! Yarn is held double throughout, amounting to approximately Bulky weight. If you substitute with a yarn of double the weight / half the yardage per 100g, you can suffice with half of the above yardage:
555-635-775-935 meters / 610-700-850-1025 yards.

Needles: 6 mm / US 10 circulars, at least 60 cm / 24 inches.
5 mm / US 8 circulars of the same length for hem and cuffs.
Optional: DPNs in both sizes for sleeves.

Other: 9 stitch markers (4 for raglan, make these stand out! 4 for lace pattern, 1 for beginning of rnd), tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge: Sample uses gauge of 11 sts & 16 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Size: XS/S-M-L/XL-2XL, to fit bust of 74/84-94-104/114-124 cm / 29/33-37-41/45-49 inches.
Actual garment measurement, bust: 100-116-131-149 cm / 39.25-45.75-51.5-58.75 inches.
Garment is intended to be worn with approximately 20-30 cm / 8-12 inches positive ease.
