This hat is knit in three steps. First the cabled band is worked to a custom length (sample is knit to 22 inches), and grafted together. Then stitches are picked up along the top edge of the band to knit the crown of the hat. Last, stitches are picked up to knit the cuff of the hat.

This is a quick one day project, and would be a great first cabled project!
