This cute little silverware stocking is essentially a top down sock pattern knit in the round that features a continuous cable pattern! The stocking has a short row heel which is worked in pattern, so you never lose the cabled appearance. This pattern came to be after my mom came to me with a pattern request - she wanted to knit up these decorative stockings, and couldn’t find a pattern anywhere! I couldn’t exactly tell my wonderful mom no, so, this pattern was created.

These miniature stockings work up so quickly!! Perfect for a last minute challenge before Christmas. In the week she’s had the pattern, my average knitting speed mom has already made four (and a half) stockings!

Knit up in bulky weight yarn, and with slight measurement adjustments, this pattern would turn out to be a pretty fabulous full-sized stocking.

One side of the heel does look better than the other. I’ve photographed both sides so you can see what I mean by this!

I used scrap yarns for this stocking. However, I’d imagine that with one skein each of the yarns recommended, you could knit at least a dozen of these little stockings, possibly more!

Materials Needed:
• Color A: 50 yards sock weight yarn
o (Pattern used Knitpick’s Stroll in White)
• Color B: 30 yards sock weight yarn
o (Pattern used Scrap Yarn in Green)
o (Recommend: Stroll Tonal in Fennel)
• (4) US 2 (2.75 mm) Double Pointed Needles
• Tapestry/Yarn Needle

Gauge:
2x2 Ribbing on US 2s:
8 stitches & 11 rows in 1”

Dimensions:
Approximately 6.5 inches long from top of folded cuff to toe, 3 inches wide from toe to heel
