Silvia's Garden
Silvia’s Garden was inspired by the beautiful laces of Estonia. Silvia is a variation of the much loved Lily of the Valley pattern, and the intention was to create a design for those who would like to try their hand at this unique lace without committing to a traditional shawl or scarf.
Finished Size: Women’s Medium (approximately 21” circumference)
Yarn Requirements: Forbidden Woolery Hope (100% Merino Wool, 875 yards/100 grams) 1 skein each: color A Monarch (lining), color B Archangel’s Wings (lace)
Gauge: 32 sts over 4” worked in stockinette stitch in the round.
Needles: US 2 (3.00 mm) dpns & 16” circular (40” circular for Magic Loop method), US 1 (2.25 mm) dpns & 16” circular (40” circular for Magic Loop method) or size needed to obtain gauge). TIP: for the lace you will want a very pointed needle tip to aid in working the nupps.
