The Simbala Shawlette was inspired by steady ripples in a quiet pond (simbala means ‘pond’ in Sanskrit.) Stripes of openwork alternate with simple stockinette accented by two ridges of garter stitch. It is cast on at the top and increases are all worked along the center.
