About this Pattern

The Simone Shawl is an advanced beginner level shawl that uses a variety of basic stitches to create negative space with a clean architectural design. Once set up, it uses an easy 4 row repeat that can be continued until your desired size is reached.

Materials

• 3 skeins of Stylecraft Special DK (3.5 oz./323 yards)
• Any equivalent DK or Fingering weight yarn can be used
• Size 4.00mm crochet hook

Measurements and Gauge

• When using the recommended yarn, this shawl has a 60-inch wingspan and a depth of 30 inches, with approximately 950 yards used
• Gauge isn’t hugely important, however maintaining a straight top edge is. With that in mind, and using the recommended yarn, the gauge was 21 double crochets and 9 rows = 4 “ square
• Blocking is recommended with this shawl to show stitch definition
