Simple bag with Braided Strab
Gauge:
Using Hdc: 11 hdc x7 rows is equal to 2 inches square
Materials I used for this pattern:
• One Skien of Redheart Ombre ( or any Cotton or Acrylic Worsted Weight yarn)
• 3.00 mm hook
• Yarn Needle.
• Scissors
Techniques used:
• Work in joined rounds,
• Work in Continuous rounds
• Work in rows.
This bag is worked from the base up, in one continuous bag. Increases are done to coincide with the increases from the row below.
Special Note: This pattern can also be worked in Sc, ( replace every hdc with a sc). To create a sturdier bag that is smaller ( see the photo of the pink bag for a difference in colour distribution with the Redheart Ombre yarn) - Gauge Using Sc: 12sc x 13 rows is equal to 2 inches square.
You can also increase the height of the bag by simply adding more rows to the body portion
