Sometimes we just need to cast on and go! The Simple Bluster Cowl is a perfect beginner pattern for those who just want an easy knit. Its also the perfect pattern to dabble in modifying a pattern for those who feel they are ready to make simple changes and customize their makes but would like their hand held a bit while the do it. The pattern is knit in the round with no shaping. It requires less than a single skein of worsted weight yarn, making it a great stash buster. Make sure you have this pattern in your queue for the next time you need a no stress knit - it’s an easy and quick project perfect for all skill levels, especially beginners.

The Simple Bluster Cowl features the broken rib design used in the other Bluster Patterns and is (as the name suggests) a simple knit requiring less than one skein of worsted weight yarn. Its knit with only two stitches, no shaping and no seaming, which makes it a great beginner pattern. Easy modification options are included for those who are ready to start modifying their projects with a bit of guidance.

Yarn yardage and weight:
200yds or 90g of worsted weight, category 4 yarn

Gauge:
16 stitches and 28 rows over 4 inches, in broken rib pattern worked in the round and blocked.

Needles and Notions:
US7, (4.5mm) needles, for your favorite method of working in the round, 16 inch suggested if using circular needles.
