This pattern is the perfect introduction to cable knitting, an ideal project for an advanced beginner.

You will need to know how to:
Knit.
Purl.
Cast on using both the knitted method & thumb method.
Increase stitches by knitting/purling into the front & back loop of a stitch.
Decrease stitches by knitting/purling 2 stitches together.
Instructions are given on how to execute your cable stitches.
This pattern is currently in a size small - medium, fitting a palm circumference of up to about 21cm/8”.

A circular or straight needles cane be used (I prefer using a circular for gloves as it enables me to try them on as I’m working).
Additional materials needed:
A cable needle
stitch markers (to mark where your knit & purl stitches end).
Embroidery scissors (to cut yarn ends).
