I wish I could say this design was inspired by the salty ocean waves gently lapping at the snow covered beach or after a brisk hike in the mountains as I witnessed a majestic mountain view. But who am I kidding? I have kids at home and no time for hiking. And the truth is my daughter just needed a sweater so I made her one. That’s it. Then I decided to grade it up to women’s sizes in case anyone wanted to make a matching Mother/daughter sweater set because….I’m a big dork who would get a kick out of something like that.

This sweater is written in a made to measure style which means you can use ANY hook, ANY yarn, and meet ANY gauge you like. Just measure this as you go and your fit will come out right. If you are a beginner to sweater making, this is a great first time sweater.

Also, If you are a beginner to cables, this is a great pattern to practice with as the cable motive is very simple and I’ve included a link to a video tutorial. Further, the rest of the sweater is so easy you can likely do it in your sleep. I actually legit feel asleep a few times making it. Of course that didn’t last long because we all know the only thing children hate more in the universe than eating their veggies is when their parents dare to fall asleep. Or is that just mine?
