This is a great pattern to introduce you to some new techniques: knitting in the round, double decreases, and chart reading. Don’t let these things stop you! You’ll be able to finish this cowl in no time. There is also a stockinette stitch version for those who like to multitask (knit+talk, knit+movie, knit+read).

This cowl uses around 100 yards of yarn, so you may not need to have 2 skeins of yarn, as written in the pattern. Double check your yarn packaging.

I suggest creating the stockinette version with a colorful yarn as pictured to showcase your yarn color and texture, and the Horseshoe Lace version with a solid, heathered, or tonal color to feature the lacework.
