Simple Crochet Raccoon
My easy crochet raccoon pattern is designed to be simple to work up, and involve minimum sewing. The design is aimed at crochet beginners, and can be worked in a round without complicated color changes. I’ve turned the markings into complete circles for ease of crocheting, so that you can have a toy that looks like your favorite animal without leaving your crochet hook in a puddle of yarn confusion in despair. I hope I’ve pulled it off and that this easy crochet raccoon pattern looks the part but is still simple to create.
Kit list:
4mm crochet hook
Black DK yarn 50g
White DK yarn 50g
Gray DK yarn 100g
Yarn needle
Toy safe stuffing
Safety eyes
The yarns I used were Patons Fab DK yarn in Charcoal, and Women’s Institute’s Premium Acrylic DK yarn. The white yarn was some I had left over in the scrap box, so I’m afraid I don’t have a brand for it, but any DK yarn will be fine.
