This is a simple top-down crocheted shawl pattern inspired by Claire’s rent shawl from the show Outlander. Rather than having a straight wingspan edge, this pattern adds some collar shaping to mimic the look of the shawl as worn by Claire in the show.
The shawl as shown was made with 5 skeins of Plymouth Yarn Galway Sport (3 medium grey, 1 navy and 1 lichen heather). These are 151 yard skeins and are very reasonably priced (approx. $5 per skein).
