simple fair isle hat
Any worsted weight wool will work, I used Malabrigo Worsted. I prefer wool when doing colorwork, but feel free to use acrylic worsted weight yarns, if you prefer.
US size 6 (4mm) & 7 (4.5mm) circular needles
Scissors, darning needle, crochet hook
Gauge: 4 stitches & 6 rows = 1 in on smaller needles
This pattern doesn’t use very much yarn. If you have at least half a skein of the MC then you’ll be fine.
Finished measurements: circumference: 17”, height: 8”
This hat is meant to fit very snug. If you’d like a more slouchy version, you can add to the number of cast on stitches, and knit more rows before decreasing for the top.
Skills needed: knit & purl, Provisional cast on, colorwork, dpns, binding off
Please let me know if you have any trouble or have any questions! :) Happy Knitting!
