I love using the Crochet Shell Stitch for my projects. Its one of the most beautiful and versatile crochet stitch. There are different versions of the Shell stitch Pattern. It’s often worked in group of 5 or 7 Double Crochets or Half Double Crochets. This combined with other stitches creates a lovely textured look.

Its a very easy and simple stitch that can be used for many of your crochet projects. You can work the Shell Stitch in Rounds, or in Rows and they look very pretty as Borders around large projects. They work the best with Crochet Blankets, Pillows, Table Runners and Mats, Bags and many other crochet projects.

Today am sharing the pattern for a Simple Fancy Crochet Shell Blanket. Its a quick working pattern where the Shell Stitches are made with 7 Double Crochets. Cake yarn and Variegated yarns work the best for Crochet Shell Stitches. The Self Striping Color change of these yarns makes a lovely Color Change Visual.
