Simple Garter Stitch Shell
by Mel Pedley
The main body is worked in one piece using garter stitch with absolutely no shaping. So it’s perfect for a beginner. Or for some mindless knitting if you’re feeling a little burnt out. The ribbed waist is optional and can be added at the end using circular needles or worked flat by starting & finishing with 10cm of K1 P1 ribbing. Or just forget the ribbing and finish off with a crochet lace edging.
Similarly the neck and armholes can be left raw or finished off with crocheted crab stitch in matching (or contrasting) colours. Have fun with it and do your own thing!
