Knitting Pattern for making Stuffed Heart softy - for newborn photography and decor.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Yarn: Warsted weight yarn or medium 10 ply wool yarn – about 5-8 gr or less then 1/2 Oz, approximately 10 yards.
Any scraps of yarn 5 gr and over can do the job. You can use 1 small pack of tapestry yarn as well.
Stuffing – cotton, Polly-fill or wool, preferably in a corresponding color about 5 gr (1/3 oz).

A pair of US6/4.0 mm needles. Needle sizes are recommendations only; The size of the heart will change slightly with different needles. I would advise very tight knitting.
Yarn needle (plastic or metal), Scissors
GAUGE:
In stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row), 8 st by 12 rows is approximately 2 x 2”.
SIZING:
The size of the heart will depend on the type of yarn. The DK (8 ply) yarn will give about 3” x 3” (8 x 8 cm) size when stuffed.
