A lightweight hat with a simple lacy design. This hat stretches to fit almost any adult-sized head. Size can vary by adding or removing 15 cast on stitches to make it bigger or smaller, respectively. Can also be made slouchier with extra repeats of the two-row lace pattern.

Stitches and Techniques
k2p3 ribbing
yarn over (yo) increases
ssk and k2tog decreases
s2kp2sso decrease = slip the next to stitches as if to k2tog, knit the next stitch, pass the two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Gauge
6 st in stockinette stitch = 1 in. Gauge in rows is not important.
