Simple Pleasures. We need more of them. Easy to knit, this crescent shaped shawl, which has a garter st edging, alternating sections of stockinette and garter stitch, ending with a wide expanded ribbed bottom through which a ribbon can be weaved, will show off any kind of yarn. It is a simple, but satisfying knit creating a textured, vividly colored, visually appealing crescent to toss over your shoulders or to give to a beloved friend.
Skill Level: Easy
Materials: Yarn – Noro Silk Garden Sock; Col No. S258/40% Lamb’s Wool/25% Silk/ 25% Nylon/ 10% Kid Mohair; 100 g/300m; somewhat < 2 skeins. Alternate weights can be used, adjust needles & yardage accordingly.
Needles: US #6/4mm 32” circular needle or size needed to accommodate stitches;, row counter
Gauge: ~ 20 st x 28 rows / 4 in stockinette on US #6 unblocked. Adjust gauge/needles to obtain desired fabric.
Exact gauge is unnecessary.
Blocked Dimensions: Outside curve ~ 112 in / 284 cm, Inside curve ~ 60 in / 152 cm, Back width ~ 15.5” / 39 cm
