These mitts are super easy to make. (The skill level is EASY.) Short rows are used to crochet the ribbing (you may opt for shorter/longer ribbing) followed by rounds to work the body of the mitt. A gusset for the thumb is created as you work through the rounds creating a gentle shaping for thumb extension.

The pattern has instructions for 3 sizes: small (5” - 6”), medium (6” - 7”) and large (7” - 8”). It calls for worsted weight (#4) but you can also use sport weight and follow the instructions for one size larger than you need.

Now a photo tutorial is included to help you visually with the closing the of thumb gusset! (Added: 9/13/14)
