A quick knit that is great to use up left over yarn.

The Simple Roll Brimmed Beanie was designed out of necessity. My toddler does not wear a slouch beanie well. It falls off or slips down his face until he gets annoyed enough to just ditch it. I wanted a beanie that fit him properly but didn’t have a gathered crown.
I started knitting and trialling and my boy tested and tested various versions.
This is the final design I tweaked to be perfect for him. I hope it’s perfect for you too.

The beanie works well without the roll brim too. Simply halve the brim length to omit the roll.
The roll does have a firmer fit so if omitting the roll, you may wish to use 3.25 needles for the brim section.

Sizes available are 45cm, 50cm, 57cm, 60cm

This beanie is very economical on yardage with as little as 50g-75g needed. It’s also a very quick knit and can be completed in just a few hours.
