This is a pdf knitting pattern, written in English and using standard US terminology, for you to knit a worsted weight, ‘Simple Romper’ (with shoulder ties) photo prop.

Instructions are included for you to knit a simple romper in sizes: newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, and 6-12 months.

The completed romper is a photo prop to be used with supervision in newborn and sitter photography sessions. It is not meant for every day use.

This pattern is well-suited to an intermediate knitter, as you will have to know how to knit in the round using a circular needle. It requires 5mm (US8) needles and worsted weight yarn.

You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, knit front and back and knit two stitches together. The kitchener stitch, while a wonderful invisible seaming technique, is not necessary if you don’t yet know how to execute it - you could sew the crotch seam instead.

My gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows is 10x10 cms.
